Fiesta!

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that it's never too early to start planning a birthday party.
Craft Owls got to take home templates for making adorable straw toppers, and made a bundle of them for their parties. Everyone had fun stamping and personalizing spoons for parties and lunches! It was a hit!

Schedule Adjusting

With new folks starting Craft Owls classes, I am going to back to the schedule and adding back in again some of the earlier projects. Anyone who has already learned these techniques will be welcome back again to layer on what they have already learned!
Tuesday the 26th is going to be Party Crafting, and Wednesday 27th is going to be a Freezer Paper Stencils class.

Can't wait to get going again this week!
Thanks!
Brooke

Applique Class

Welcome to our newest Craft Owl, the lovely Brea! Very, very awesome shirt. Can't wait to see what she'll do next.

LOVE what Brook did. Patchwork crossbones? Completely brilliant. Bananas. She took something completely hard and made it soft. You will be seeing an imitation of this from me :)
Aaaand she likes it too.
Thanks, girls, for forcing me to listen to something other than country music! I might kinda have liked it. See ya next week.

Classes are officially from 9:30 to 11:30, but we usually continue at least half an hour late :) These classes are for adults. Please let me know if you are interesting in a crafting class for your little one!

Cost for the class is $15 for two hours and includes materials. However, if we are doing a t-shirt project (like stencils and applique), please bring that with you.

Applique - Using an iron-on adhesive, we can put images using scraps of fabric onto t-shirts, jackets - anything you want! This is a no-sew class.

Party Prep - Making personalized cupcake toppers, birthday banners, straw toppers and wooden spoons. This will be so much fun! Even if your party isn't for a few months, you can keep what you make in class until then, or just use the ideas you'll learn. You'll get hard to find materials in this class!

Felt - This is a verrrry basic beginning hand-sewing class. Working with felt is a little like applique in how you put the colors together and is so easy to work with becaues it doesn't fray like cotton quilting fabrics.

Journal making & book binding - Learn techniques for putting together booklets, journals and keepsakes.

Please send me an email at brooketulane@yahoo.com if you'd like to sign up or get more information on a class. If you are interested in a night or evening class, please let me know! I would like to set one up, but want to make sure the interest is there. Am also considering kids classes...
